Telluride is a former mining town, located on the San Miguel River in the western San Juan Mountains and is named for the gold telluride minerals found in parts of Colorado. Up until 1972, mining was Telluride's only industry.  Today, it is best known for Telluride Ski Resort which is a year round destination and is located in the nearby town of Mountain Village.  This world class ski resort has 148 different trails to accommodate all ski levels.  In the warmer months, you can enjoy mountain biking, white water rafting, hiking, and more! Or, take a sunset ride on the town's gondola to Mountain Village for a bite to eat and to shop. Ridgway State Park is located just north of Telluride and offers activities ranging from boating, swimming, trout fishing and hiking.

Are you ready to kick back and enjoy the beautiful mountain setting? Camping is a great way to be close to nature and enjoy all that Telluride has to offer.  Rather not “rough it”?  Rent a camper or a motorhome from Kodiak Powersports and RV Rental.
